Video: Debbie Gibson and Tiffany Talk Campy Syfy Film, Pop

Seeing Debbie Gibson and Tiffany together doesn't cause double-takes only for fans. Even the '80s teen queens themselves find humor in appearing side-by-side as they promote their new TV movie, "Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid," which premieres on Syfy this Saturday (Jan. 29).

"When people see us together, they flip out," said Gibson when the pair, whom she has dubbed "Debany," visited our studios last week for a video interview. "They actually thought we're one person, but now they know we're not," she joked.

"It's a little trippy. It's trippy for us, too!"

Watch as Gibson, 40, and Tiffany, 39, discuss their hit-packed pasts (each scored two No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1987 and 1989); praise the current state of female domination in pop music; set the record straight on whether they ever considered themselves rivals; and, recount the many blows of their campy on-screen dragdown.

"It is such a moment for the genuine fan, for the Syfy audience and also for people who don't have a clue where we came from," says Tiffany of the film's signature fight scene.

"It's like, 'Two girls fighting? Hot! They're both hot, you know?!'"
