Tiffany and Debbie Gibson

With "I Think We're Alone Now" swirling in my head, I put on slouchy neon socks, my best acid washed taper jeans and LA Gear sneakers and headed down to the Canal Room to witness the ultimate battle of the '80's teen queens: Tiffany and Debbie Gibson on stage together for the first time ever (EVER!).
Each of the still-hot pop princesses sang their greatest hits, before hooking up for a giant sing-along version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin.'" The evening was put together by Rubix Kube-the best '80's cover band to ever pick up a keytar. (Even Debbie pointed out that they sound just like the records.) How they managed to get everyone involved to say yes is one of those wonderful New York mysteries. Tiffany even did the Tiffany dance, and we nearly lost our mind. —Gabi Porter
