SINGAPORE: Popular 80s acts Tiffany, Howard Jones, Wang Chung and German synth-pop band Alphaville will entertain audiences with their hit songs like "Let's Go", "All This Time" as well as "Forever Young", when they perform at this year's Retrolicious concert on October 6.
Unlike previous years, Retrolicious 2012, which is jointly organised by Singapore radio station Class 95FM and events company Running Into The Sun, will be held at the recently-opened Gardens by the Bay instead of Fort Canning Park. This year's Retrolicious is shaping up to be the biggest one yet, and Class 95FM deejay Jean Danker is very excited. "I am super excited because the last two times … everybody had such a great time. "It's like the biggest retro party that we have in Singapore. It gives everybody a chance to dress up, go a little crazy and reminisce," Danker gushed, going on to reveal that she is looking forward to Tiffany's performance the most. Fellow deejay Mike Kasem is also pumped about attending his first Retrolicious concert since he joined the station. "I've heard a lot about it, I'm very excited!" said Kasem. In line with the concert's "class reunion" theme this year, concert-goers who come dressed in school uniforms as a group will get a chance to meet the performer of their choice and enjoy a round of free drinks, if they are the biggest group in uniform at the event. Tickets to the concert will go on sale from Friday. -CNA/ha |
