Tiffany is putting together tour dates with fellow 1980s icon Debbie Gibson. The pair, who starred together in the Syfy movie "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," plan to cover songs that inspired them as well as perform their own material. "We want to journey through the '80s and all the artists who influenced us," Tiffany told us, adding that she and Gibson might do covers of hits by Stevie Nicks, Reba McIntyre and Guns N' Roses, as well as Broadway tunes. They'd also perform their own material. Tiff's on tour supporting her new release, "Rose Tattoo."

Did you know that 80′s pop sensation Tiffany originally went to Nashville in her early teens to record country music? Well, better late than never, right? She’s now making the media rounds promoting her new country album called Rose Tattoo (MP3 album on iTunes), which was just released last month. The first single is called Feel The Music. Almost every boy growing up in the 80′s fantasized about one of these two girls, or maybe even both! Debbie Gibson and Tiffany were the queens of “Mall Pop”. They graced the covers of every teeny bopper magazine. And now in 2011, they will tour together.

Tiffany spoke to the New York Post about the tour:

We want to journey through the ’80s and all the artists who influenced us.

She also said that they would more than likely be doing songs by Stevie Nicks, Reba McIntyre and Guns N’ Roses, as well as Broadway tunes. That in addition to their own material. Tiffany is currently promoting her latest CD, Rose Tattoo.

80′s teen stars Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, along with other 80′s icons, show up at the New York premiere of their Syfy channel movie Mega Python Vs. Gatoroid. The film debuts on Syfy January 29th at 9PM.

The rumors are true … client Debbie Gibson and Tiffany will tour together! The kick off show for “A Journey Through the 80s” is Friday, July 29, Theatre at Westbury. Pre sale tickets go on sale today, April 21, via Live Nation Mobile App and then open to the general public on Friday, April 22, via Live Nation and Ticketmaster. More tour dates coming soon.

Gibson said, “After doing the SyFy film (“Mega Python Vs Gat0roid”) and press tour with Tiffany, it seemed only natural and timely to venture out on tour together and join forces! We have decided to pay tribute to all 80′s music by performing hits that influenced us from that decade, as well as performing our own hits, and debuting new music! Tiffany’s album Rose Tattoo is out now and I will have new music come tour time to share with you all! She and I have always had a “sisterhood” attitude about the whole “supposed rivalry” and I hope you will all come out and enjoy this first ever event of its kind!”

'Glee' Confuses Debbie Gibson For Tiffany

Monday's "Glee" included an '80s teen idol mix-up, a snafu over which Debbie Gibson is maintaining her sense of humor.
Guest star Gwyneth Paltrow, playing substitute teacher Holly Holiday, was speaking to a group of students about making fun of each other when she confused Debbie for fellow pop star Tiffany.

"I spent 3 years sending hate mail to Debbie Gibson until she wrote me back and said, 'The stress of my letters was giving her alopecia,' and then I felt terrible cause I realized it was just my jealousy that she could fill a mall with adoring fans," Gwyneth's character said.

Access Hollywood checked in with Debbie following the episode, who said she wasn't surprised that the hit FOX comedy confused her for her mall-loving counterpart.

"Of course I played the clubs and Tiffany played the malls so all these years later they are still confusing us! LOL! But, when it comes to 'Glee' and Gwyneth any press is good press!" Debbie told Access in an e-mail message. "Now all we need is a 'Glee' 'Electric Youth' episode! Right?!?"
The duo, which recently starred together in SyFy's made-for-TV movie "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," are hitting the road together this summer.
"That's why we're touring together," she added. "To prove we are indeed different people!"

Merrick’s Debbie Gibson rose to fame while still in high school. Her debut single, “Only In My Dreams” was released in the summer of 1987 and was followed in the fall by “Shake Your Love.” Out of the Blue her debut album was released that fall and by the spring of 1988, the title track had climbed to number three on the charts. With the release of her fourth single, “Foolish Beat,” Debbie Gibson became the youngest artist to write, produce and perform a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. ”Lost in Your Eyes,” the first single from her sophomore effort, Electric Youth became her biggest hit, staying at number one for three weeks.
